Ultra-Broadband Sound Absorbing Materials Based on Periodic Gradient Impedance Matching

نویسندگان

چکیده

Ultra-broadband sound absorption with periodic gradient impedance matching is of great concern in the research acoustic materials. This study investigates composite metamaterials comprising micro-perforated plates (MPPs) and subsequent Fabry–Pérot(FP) channels. Based on theory, ultra-broadband has been realized through a design 36 channels whose thickness only 50 mm. Also, average coefficient 88% an frequency bandwidth (490–4000 Hz) can be achieved by preserving impedance. Furthermore, changing perfect absorber being 100 mm, reach greater than 90% range 250–4500 Hz. The proposed structure validated analytically experimentally. work help designing improving method metasurfaces especially have potential designs.

Broadband gradient impedance matching using an acoustic metamaterial for ultrasonic transducers

High-quality broadband ultrasound transducers yield superior imaging performance in biomedical ultrasonography. However, proper design to perfectly bridge the energy between the active piezoelectric material and the target medium over the operating spectrum is still lacking. Here, we demonstrate a new anisotropic cone-structured acoustic metamaterial matching layer that acts as an inhomogeneous...

Design of Broadband Radar Absorbing Materials Using Particle Swarm Optimization

The design of planar multi-layer coatings with high absorption for a desired frequency and angle range is presented. The design technique is based on Particle swarm optimization (PSO). PSO is an evolutionary optimization algorithm based on the bird fly. Several design cases are presented. Numerical results that are compared with the existing in the literature show the advantages of this approac...

Schlieren photography to study sound interaction with highly absorbing materials.

Strong absorption of sound is often caused by the conversion of sound energy into heat. When this happens, it is not possible to study the interaction of sound with the absorbing material by means of reflected sound characteristics, because there is no reflected sound. Detecting for example the distance that sound travels in a strongly absorbing material, can be done by heat detection systems. ...
